Default help with my dvd burner

i have a samsung dvd burner, one problem i encounter is that whenever it reads dvd data files, it produces a loud noise like it was over spinning, stop the comes back, sometimes it is difficult for it to read application on a data dvd,
please help to got an solution to this,

Replace the drive, they do go bad from time to time. You can get new dvd burners for around $30 from newegg.

depends if this is happening frequently when you put a data disk into the cdrom or dvdrom. if its consistant youll probably have to get a new one. also check if the data disks you have are a little old. even the cds tend to loose quality after so much time. if you just burn a disk now for exapmle with a few files or mp3s, and when done take it out and put the disk in again and it reads it...then probably it could be the cds and not the cd or dvd drive. check and see what the outcome is.

dvd data are freshly burned, after i burn it usually i'll check the outcome and files inside it,
then if i open, it creates a noisy sound, even if it is a new burn, new purchased dvd,i think it has a difficulty in reading large files, huhu
