I'm getting a new home theater system and I am stuck between the two. I am looking at the Optoma HD20 1080p DLP projector for $999, and a 42"-46" 1080p LCD TV for $600-$1000. I figured that with the room dimensions I could have a 96"-115" projected image.
I'm stuck because with the projector, the room will always have to be dark for the video to look right, and whenever I want to watch something I will need to pull down the screen. However I've seen 1080p projectors and they are amazing, so I don't know if it's worth those cons to have twice as large of a screen for the same price. Any thoughts?
