cd rom on a laptop

I have a inspiron dell 2500, can it get office on it, how do I do that with a cd rom ? I have a cd drive, is there anything I can install to get office to achieve having excel 07word 07.please help my wife is upset.

You can install microsoft office by cd, if you didn't already purchase microsoft office you can use http://www.openoffice.org/ its free and does pretty much the same things as microsoft office.

I wonder that your problem is not to be able to install Microsoft Office, because it is on a DVD and you don`t have a DVD Rom.
So why don`t you try copying the contents of the DVD into a flash memory or some other CD`s. If your office DVD is locked and can`t be copied, you can use external DVD roms.
There is another good way too, you can connect your laptop to another PC having DVD rom, using a network cable. then you can share the DVD ROM and install Office properly.
