Default STALKER-Steam

Just wanted to let anyone interested know that STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl if 75% off for $5.00usd on Steam right now. Never heard of it til now, but for $5 I couldn't pass it up. Looks pretty cool too...nice looking graphics. Will play it here in a bit.

Is this game scary?

By which i mean, is it about as scary as fallout 3 and bioshock?

I ask because I may get it, but don't like it. Fallout 3, i love, but, don't ask me why, i don't get scared at films or anything, but at points with feral ghouls or deathclaws I have to keep pausing to get composure before I carry on because they scare the crap out of me.

The atmosphere in Bioshock does the same too. I played F.E.A.R a year or so ago and had to stop after 15 minutes or so. Is this like that?

steam offered assassin's creed for five bucks just last week , and now stalker. i didn't want to play, much less buy any games until i finished this semester, but these are too good deals to pass up .
i'm paying for college out of pocket so i can't afford to screw around. must... stay... focused... BOOM! Headshot!

i just saw a couple of reviews on youtube, and yes, this game can be scary. there are these mutant thingies that can disappear and reappear right on top of you
