64MB. of video memory is not all that much, but what mode have you got the drive running in PIO or UDMA. In Device Manager look under the IDE controller, if its it PIO mode change it to UDMA.

You look under the IDE controller the DVD drive is on. Not under the DVD drive itself.

Click the IDE controller drop down, pick the controller the DVD drive is on, right click on it, pick properties, advanced settings.

Ok I did it it says.

under the first IDE controller witch is 0. it says
Transfer Mode DMA if avalible so I have that selected. It is this or Pio

Then under Current Transfer Mode it say UMDA 6.
So I selected this.

First things first why does the first setting say DMA and the second setting say UMDA???

And second they are set to this and not pio so now what??

Pretty sure thats the wrong controller UDMA 6, Have you got a IDE harddrive too. Most CD/DVD drives run a UDMA 2. Check your other IDE controller.
