Default dual wireless

so i was wondering if i put 2 wireless cards in my computer could i combine the signal like u can do on windows xp and would it improve anything at all...i mean it seems like it would...and i run ubuntu 9.04

I am going to say not possible, because I don't think end user OSes allow for bonding of two network cards, be it wireless or wired. Unless done so by third party. I think that is really only on the server sides of things.

I could be wrong but all my googling came up with, no, that cannot be done in a client OS.
