Default Help with Hijack this log... do i have a virus.. slow down..
My computer has been substantially slower.. I also did that connection speed test and it(download) was terrible upload was better... but anyhow webpages are taking much longer to load having the spybot and adaware active scans obviously slowed things down but it's slow down well after those were up and running... I need to double my ram.. I know but there has to be some reason for the recent slow down.

I just ran all of the scans and cleaned up using cccleaner but it's still slow.. any help would be great.. do I have a virus slowing me down?

edit: so i did run the malwarebytes after my initial post.. and now it does seem to be a little better.. but are you guys familiar with this particular thing.. is this what would cause the slow down???

Your malwarebytes is way outdated. Please open Malwarebytes and click on the update tab and click on check for updates. The lastest database is 3049 and malwarebytes version is 1.41. Please continue to update until you see " you have the latest database version". Then please do a full scan using the updated database and post the log along with a fresh log of hijackthis.

Is your pc just running slow? I dont see anything that looks suspicous. I do however see that you Comodo and Avast Installed. Two Av's/Firewalls together do not work out well and is not recommended. Also Avast is known to be a HUGE system hog. I recommend you un-install both and Install an AIO Av/Firewall such as AVg Free or ESET smart security. When you have done this post a FRESH hijackthis log.

I agree it does seem to be a system hog.. i wondered if avg would be any different.. but the slow down seem to come well after i've had avast on there.. i think i've had that for a few years.. but ill try it out..

it looks like the avg that is free is only a antivirus..
the avg antivirus/firewall is about 49 bucks/yr... of course id like to stick to free if possible..
is this what you were referring to? the combo?

otherwise i need a firewall in there.. is comodo not at the top of the list? what would you recommend?
