Default Having trouble identifying spider

I unfortunately cannot identify this spider on my porch. Unfortunately it is dark and my camera cannot get a good picture because I cant get close enough. So I'll try to describe it.

Its rather big, probably between a quarter and half dollar size in full spread. Fat body, tan in color with some red visible; however it is most definitely not a brown widow (red back) spider. Its legs are striped. It seems to have a rough texture. Conical shaped "butt."

I don't really want to kill it, but I will if I have to. (ie it comes inside).

Oh, in other news, I saw a Gecko at work today. Tiny little thing. No it didn't try to sell me insurance. :-p

User: I saw a spider today.

Cleverbot: Really? I saw a hedgehog.

User: I found a gecko, too.

Cleverbot: Really?

User: Yup.

Cleverbot: Do the British commonly say vacant things? Is that the way you can recognize a limey?

User: The spider was the size of a half-dollar; fat, with a bit of tan and red on the body.

Cleverbot: I'm always possible.

User: However, the gecko didn't try to sell me insurance hahahaha.

Cleverbot: Hahaha.
Cleverbot approves.

It's not a spider... it's the alien that burrows inside of you and bursts out your chest after acting as a parasite for a while.
