Default Google OS

I'm just wondering- have any of you guys tried Google's OS? Or do you know if it's even out? I hear of a scam where there is a Linux ditro with a theme and chrome installed. I'd like to play with it, so if you have, provide a link?

No I do not believe it's out yet, when it is you'll probably hear a lot of it.
The last time I searched up on it, they said they were aiming for it to be more of a 'netbook OS'. I'm not sure if they're only going to do a 'netbook OS' or if they're going to do a real OS as well..

Expected RD 2010

I'm looking forward to it

Alright, thanks. I haven't read it yet, but I have a question if you have..

Do you know if there will be anything... revolutionary, per se, like a new file system or anything like that?

I heard it was going to be a respun Linux kernel for added security. Otherwise I'd imagine it'll just have a new window manager, which should be interesting.

Security?

All your programs and apps will be stored on Google servers...I'm not that trusting.

That could be annoying. I'm not so sure how much I trust Chrome as it is now. But yeah, that would require a lot of trust as well as dependency I presume.

Yeah I wouldn't be trusting either... You can't really trust mafians...

Speaking of Google, maybe you'd all like to watch this.

It's 45 minutes long, but worth a watch, especially if
you're considering using their OS. Or GMail, or any of
their services for that matter.
