Yah my computer says I have a floppy drive (A: ) in my computer... I've looked through the case and as far as I know there is no floppy drive. Unless there's a portal to Narnia? Anyways, just disable the FLoppy drive in BIOS... that's why my step-dad spent 50$ talking to a middle eastern guy when I KNEW THE PROBLEM AND HE WOULDNT LET ME FIX IT GOD DAMNIT!!

i go into the bios and it seems the computer is saying there is no dvd or cd rom drives. and since it didn't come with a floppy drive it has to be something else.

If it doesn't recognize any cd or dvd drives then check for power going to drives, do they open? Check for loose IDE cable, jumpers set wrong. Was everything working fine before you put a new hard drive in it? Did you ground yourself before touching the insides of the computer? You could have discharged static electricity to the motherboard and damaged it. You could have loosened the IDE cables. Without knowing the history of this computer, I can only recommend to you what to check for. If you are not computer savvy enough, then you will most likely have to take it and have it checked out.
