What do you plan on doing with this computer?

This build is overkill and twice the price it should be.

GOD NO, an extra 6Gigs of RAM is NOT worth $800.

Yes, they make 4Gig sticks of DDR3, but not worth it.

Why would you even bother with alienware?

Yea stay away from alienware. There is much better stuff out there. How many computers are you building with these parts?

Alienware computers aren't worth it. And unless you plan on helping NASA out, that computer is too much

Just looking quickly....none of that is worth it. And if you buy anymore than an i7 920 or W3520, you are wasting your money because whether you go on air or water they will overclock just the same.

I would suggest building a pc:
How to Build a Computer - Step by Step (With Photos)

Now,this comes in at a pretty lower price and murders that alienware:

Now...for cooling you can do one of two things. Air cooling is cheaper and easier, watercooling is somewhat more effective.

Air Cooling:

Water Cooling:

Tubing(10ft): http://jab-tech.com/ClearFLEX-60-Tub...D-pr-2431.html
Barbs(6x): http://jab-tech.com/Bitspower-True-S...5-pr-4400.html
Pump: http://jab-tech.com/Swiftech-MCP-355...p-pr-3510.html
Resorvoir Top for pump: http://jab-tech.com/XSPC-Acrylic-Res...C-pr-4123.html
Biocide: (8") http://jab-tech.com/Antimicrobial-Si...p-pr-4530.html
Fans: (2x) http://jab-tech.com/Scythe-ULTRA-KAZ...m-pr-3939.html
TIM:http://jab-tech.com/Tim-Consultants-...g-pr-4130.html

Even with watercooling....youd come out to about half the price of the alienware, with a better motherboard, better cooling, better memory, better power supply, better graphics cards, etc.

Alienware preys on those who know little about computing.

Dont skimp on a power supply,if it fails, it usually takes out other components alongside it.
New? Dont forget to read the rules, Know them so you dont break them:)
