Try to put your mobo model number in google followed by "bios upgrade" or "bios"

Default Hey

You should always download a BIOS specific to your moherboard (for example a BIOS for the MSI KT4 Ultra motherboard). That means that you need to find out what motherboard you have and download its newest BIOS from the manufacturer's website. However, there is usually no need for an upgrade unless you know that it brings some advantages.

i specified the bios specifications, which certainly means that i know about things you adviced...thanks anyways

my only reason for upgrading the bios is:
i am having a shutdown issue with my PC, and my bios does not have apm settting listed, so i was thinking if upgrading the bios might solve the issue

any comments>?
