Default New Evga GTX 275 / GTS 250 CO-OP card

Well...many people were waiting for the exciting new release of a special card from Evga last night at the Halloween party in California.

Here it is...not sure what to make of it yet? The stupid stickers would have to go right away

http://www.evga.com/products/moreinf...012-P3-1178-AR

GTX 275 and a GTS 250 sandwiched together on one card. I bet it plays games pretty good.

Last night? It was on the 30th scout

They are made to be able to SLI with a regular 275 for SLI+Physx, for motherboards that only have two slots and whatnot. I really havent seen physx help a whole lot in games, although maybe with the upcoming Fermi release we may get some more physx games.

Dont skimp on a power supply,if it fails, it usually takes out other components alongside it.
New? Dont forget to read the rules. Heatware

why with a 275 though? why not 285? something a bit higher performing?

people with 2 slots going sli with standard 275's really need physix?

680w PSU with 46 amps on the 12v rail requirement? Did you read the spec sheet? That will limit you to about a dozen or so quality power supplies to even run the thing

That alone will rule out about 70% of people to even run the thing! My Antec 650w does not meet that.

Since they bought them, seems like it would have been better to slap a Ageia core on it for PhysX instead of a whole GTS 250 core. Or is this just a EVGA thing that Nvidia has nothing to do with?

EVGA thought it up, although the guys over there said they are expecting that other manufacturers make come out with similar cards perhaps. The Ageia core for physics is pretty useless though imo.

The power supply rating is a little over the top, because you can run two 275's on a decent 600W or so, and two 285's on a few 600W psu's (Silencer would be a good example) as long as cpu isnt overclocked.
