Default No Sound from TV!

I have my computer speakers and my TV connected to my computer. But only sound comes from my computer speakers. I tried playing with the sound setting on my computer a lot but nothing seems to be working. If you need any specific details just let me know.

If you speakers are connected to the pc then you are not going to get sound out of the tv, How is your tv connected to the computer? vga lead or hdmi cable?

Thanks

I had it working once before. But ever since I upgraded my video drivers it stopped working. It's connected via HDMI but I also have a line in cable going to my motherboards sound card.

I would have thought you could only have 1 or the other connected, your speakers or you tv, if you have the tv connected to a sound card on your motherboard and speakers to a seperate sound card then they could be clashing, I also fail to see why you would want both running at the same time.

They're not on separate sound cards. They are both plugged into the motherboard. The motherboard has like... 3 line in and 3 line outs. I like when there's sound coming from the TV because if its just the computer speakers, all the sound is on just one side of the room. So imagine it like this... its like watching your TV but with only the right speaker working.
