Default crazy mouse problem

sorry if i put this in the wrong place im new here and need some help with my computer

lately my computer mouse has been acting strangely, the cursor pauses for a couple seconds frequantly and sometimes it just freezes all together so i have to restart my computer but even then sometimes that doesnt help and it needs multiple restarts befor its functional again, also sometimes my mouse just goes berserk flying all over the screen clicking and opening stuff for awhile befor calming down

ive tried this mouse on another computer and it works fine and ive ran a virus scan but didnt find anything, also my mum took it to the manufacturers to see if they could fix it, they said the computer just needed to do some updating while it started up, but ive let it do that and theres still no difference, any help would be appreciated, thanks

sounds like your USB port may be shot. have you tried plugging it into a different USB port?

Another thing, see if there is any dust/gunk in the laser, as this can cause the problem you describe.

ive tried it on a different computer and it works fine so it cant be dust int he laser, but my mouse has one of those green round plugs, its not a usb port one
