Clear your temp files.

Start > Run > %temp%

and hit enter.

then delete everything in that folder.

hey thanks for the response. I have done that, I have manually removed the files from the registry. I have ran spyware, anti virus, I have copied the contents of the cd rom from the hardrive and tried to install like this... im turning toward reimaging my hardrive to install office, man this is sad

ive tried two different disks on this computer, the disk worked fine on another computer... Ive copied the contents of my disk to the hardrive and tried it, just keep getting the same error, ive ran the windows installer cleaner, ive manually removed traces of the old outlook, Ive tried upgrading, uninstalling and installing a fresh copy

First un-install all Microsoft office related programs. Then download, install, and run ccleaner. Then go to C:\programfiles and delete Microsoft office folder. Then open the run box (Win + R buttons) and type %appdata% and open Microsoft foler. Then find "Office" folder and delete it. Then, run ccleaner again and reboot. Then install Office again.

maybe your DVD drive doesn't like the disc. I know that my LG drive hates my GTA4, Crysis/Warhead and sometimes movies... all of which are professionally made discs.
