Default Call of Duty: WaW question

I see that there are like 6 patches. does patch 1.6 include all of the previous patches as well? because it's labeled as 1.5-1.6, which leads me to believe that i'll have to download all of the patches separately.

but why wouldn't the developers include previous updates in the newest patches

You have to download them in order.

It is because the major patches contain stuff like new maps, new zombie maps, huge fixes etc and patch 1.6 doesn't have all of the map packs and all of the zombie maps, it only has map pack 2 and the latest zombie map (can't remember the name of it).

Also, previous patches fix problems that others don't because they didn't need to because they aren't there when the latest patch is out but were there when that certain patch was out if that makes sense

If you need to know which version you are on, install it and start it up and on the main menu it says in the bottom left or bottom right the one you are on at the moment.

If you bought it over steam too, it auto updates, so you don't have to worry about updating yourself
