Default help with word and photoshop

hello

i am making a brochure on word 2007 (i think publisher would be better but the version i have is old and rubbish) for a project and i would like to make the font similar to the picture below with the colour around the edge - i have downloaded the font, but just want the colour around the edge of it if it is possible like the csi

also, i need to insert an image into the document - the picture is of the object is round. I have a watermark on the page - when i put the image into the word document the white is still there and i don't know how to copy the image so i just have the object and not the background it was taken on as well - i have photoshop elements 2.0 btw

also, is it possible to apply a watermark to only some of the page (two thirds), and apply it if i change the page colour?

i hope that you can help me and i will buy you a virtual drink

thanks very much

Start from scratch. Inset your picture, fronts and all, then put the watermark.

As for the color outside the font, use STROKE effect (double click on the front layer in PS). if stroke is not what you want use outer glow.
Water marks I think places itself all over the document if my memory serves me well, I don't think there's any way to place it on pages you might want

thanks for the reply, i'll give it a go

are there any other programs that are good for making a brochure/leaflet on rather than word or publisher - I'll give my old copy of publisher 2000 a go, but it seem so ancient and dull (grey). I have office 2007 and have used publisher 2003 at university, but i can save and use the fonts on the university network. I suppose if my csi logo is saved and sorted on photoshop it will be okay.

any other suggestions from anybody would be greatly appreciated, thanks

what is this outer glow and stroke jazz?

tried putting my pic in first and then the watermark, but still have the white background where the object is not in the picture - i use the magic wand and then press> select inverse then copy and paste - do i need to do layers etc? I am a novice (can you tell?) i have p.s. elements 2.0

is it better to do leaflet on word or publisher, or is there anything else that you lot would recommend?

thanks
