i have a fujitsu siemens esprimo mobile v5535 - i used it primarily for university work; writing essays, looking at porn y'know
I used it a little bit in the summer to listen to some music, but only off the battery power and let it run right down. I left it for about a month and went to turn it on with the plug lead attached. The little green light on the laptop flashed on quickly and the thing has not worked since. Does anybody know what it could be? I have not dropped it or anything. I have been told that it could be the motherboard ![]() thanks |

Try removing the battery and plugging it into the wall and then try turning it on. I've seen dead batteries keep the laptop from turning on even if it's plugged in.

Sounds like you have a pretty serious hardware issue since it won't even post. Have you tried calling the manufacturer to see if it's still under warranty?

I'm afraid if it won't POST you're out of luck... You could try removing anything removable (RAM, hard drive, optical drive...) and seeing if that helps at all. Otherwise, it's probably a bad motherboard.
I hate to hear this too... I'm a huge Fujitsu fan and still miss my old Fujitsu. It was only sold because I was given a slightly better laptop that got better battery life

thanks - i have taken it apart as much as i can but i dunno what i'm looking for. Is the motherboard the big circuit board part i presume?
![]() i liked the fujitsu, which is why i got another, albeit i was a bit reluctant as i only had it for about a year and a half It had the best spec for the price that i wanted to pay and i'm not really that fussed about computers. This new one does seem a bit slow at the moment - anyone have any suggestions on this too? thanks
