Question Windows 7 and Network

Hey. I got a quick question concerning my Windows 7 and my network. Whenever I download something on Steam (games) and it download 2 or more at the same time, my network will just have a connection error and then I have to unplug the network cable and plug it back in. How come this happens? It never happened on XP so I don't understand what the problem is. Anyone who might know?

Windows 7 has only just been released. see if you can contact microsoft and tell them about this. Steam released some updates a while ago to improve functionality in Windows 7 as well.
Haven't tried windows updates?
