Yeah, it is an older burner but I also have the original computer that it came installed in and when installed in that computer it recognizes disks with no problem.

I thought I read somewhere that DVD drives need decoders or some other type of software to work properly. I figure if I do not have that software properly installed on this computer I may have this problem (since the software on the other computer is properly installed the DVD works when installed in that computer).
