Default Monitor Calibration

As a few of us are serious photographers on here, and we obviously all use monitors for viewing pics, videos, gaming..etc I wanted to tell you all about the new software I just bought.

I was desperately trying to find a way to calibrate my older Toshiba laptop which I knew was giving wonky colors and I was periodically using the Nvidia panel 'sliders' to correct brightness, contrast, gamma...etc

I was never happy and daily I do alot of photo work, particularly with people, where proper skin tones are absolutely crucial to a fantastic image and I finally decided on the Spyder3 Pro display calibrator from a company called DataColor.

I just installed the software, plugged in the calibration tool, and ran through the wizard they provide, answer some simple questions about your display and then let the tool run.

I'm an absolutely floored with the result, you really can't even understand how amazing this product is and what it does for correcting a variety of issues.

I highly recommend this product to any serious photographer, artist, or any of us that demand the absolute most from our monitors.

Just thought I'd share!

Quality: 10/10
Ease of Use: 10/10
Results: Priceless

$150 is just a lot to pay for monitor calibration--the only way I'd pay that much would be on a per use basis, for instance, if I had a bunch of friends who would go together and buy one to use.

Well, to each their own, when you make money by being a photographer, people expect you to have quality images and prints. The cost is easily paid off by selling my work!

Some people would argue that sending the money some people do on cars, clothes...computer parts is ridiculous!

In any event, its a fabulous product and well worth the money for a professional..I'm sure you aren't a serious photographer or you'd certainly see the value in a high end tool.
