Fedora 11 - i686 on a Portable Hard Drive (Bootable OS)
I'm getting a Western Digital Passport 1TB (WDMET10000) for Xmas (*hopefully*) and would like to put Fedora 11 - i686 onto it.
I would like to boot from it through the usb 2.0 port, so its like a virtual computer i can take anywhere. I understand i need to set the bios to removeable usb 2.0 media and burn the fedorai686.iso to a CD, I can do all that. However I am unsure about the MBR and if installing it on the WDMET10000 will screw up my internal HDD MBR. i would appreciate it if anyone can give me any pointers in the steps to take to make Fedora bootable as an OS on a Wester digital portable HDD. Thanks
