Default Second monitor via VGA cable

Hi. I have a desktop with a monitor and I want the image to be mirrored onto this LCD tv via a spare VGA slot on the back of the computer. I got the cable, plugged both ends in but no image is transferred. I played around wıth the monitor settings, tweaked the resolutions etc but nothing. Couldit be from the TV? Some help please!

What OS are you using? You must change settings on the OS itself when adding monitors

Edit: Maybe b/c most people with fewer posts dont respond back

On that note Goodnight

try installing ultramon.
this will do it for ya.
It will mirror or allow two separate views.
