Default Buying a gaming laptop for 1000$ or cheaper

I was just looking for some suggestions of a good gaming laptop for 1k or under my dad is buying it for me and although I am very smart with software I know little about the hardware so I welcome any and all suggestions.

I don't know if you can play crisis at full, but I think these would be the best around $1000

P.S. most ppl would regard asus as more reliable brand when compare to gateway

No I don't think it will Max Crysis, but it should Max just about everything else.

Just choose the best technical specs regardless of brand. If you have $1000 budget then try to compare all laptops that you could see in the market, usually the higher the price the better specs but sometimes it depends on the brand name. Remember most of the known laptop vendors have undergone the same quality standards since mostly they come from only one OEM company contracted by the known brands in the market..try to consider the after-sales support of each specific brand.

Looking the best laptops may become easier if you will check through different computer shops and ask them what is the suitable hardware for your needs/applications. Do not go to a shop which only promotes one brand!
