Hp pavilion dv7 problem

Blu-ray drive quit working, updated all drivers, flashed bios, removed blu ray and reinserted it, and ran a system recovery and it still won't work. Any ideas?

Drives die, I suspect that's the problem. Maybe a friend has a laptop you could pop it in and test it out? Aside from that, if you reloaded windows, I doubt it's software related.

Thanks I called Hp and they are sending me a new drive
