Key question..

I bought Windows 7 for my laptop and it works great.Now I just bought a computer to build, I can take the CD I already have, and just purchase a new key, correct?

If there is a place to purchase a key, yes, that's all you need... Your original CD will work fine as long as you have a key for each machine.

Yeah, you can buy just the key on eBay. Another question...in the top corner of the box, it says "upgrade designed for windows vista". Will it still work with no OS on the desktop?

A key off ebay...? I would be a little weary about those.

And an upgrade? Um, you might need to confirm with someone else, but I know they normally wouldn't work with a fresh install. Are you sure it's not just saying it's able to upgrade as well as do a fresh install?
