Default DVI-I video card to DVI-D monitor

Hi,

Thanks to the help of the forum members here, I've chosen the following video card to upgrade my aged computer:

I also want to change out my CRT with this LCD:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824009145

But I'm not sure as to the compatibility between the card, which is a DVI-I, and the monitor, which is a DVI-D. I read that a simple DVD-D to DVD-D cable, which is probably what comes with the monitor, would do the trick. However, the card's specs lists a DVI-I compatible monitor as required. Does this explicitly mean the monitor must be DVI-I ready, or is "DVI-I compatible" generally inclusive of DVI-D?

Thanks again
