i dont see any forward settings in aol mail so i did it through gmail but i have one problem its not updating instantly like i get mail at aol but its not in my gmail i have to wait till they check and its not checking often

Wow, I couldn't believe it until I checked for myself, but AIM mail really doesn't have any settings for forwarding your messages. That's just pathetic.
Here's something you could do that might get it to you faster. I haven't tried it, but it seems like it could work. Check out this article for checking email using POP3: http://email.about.com/od/outlookexp...t/et032906.htm Assuming that that method works fine, there is no reason you wouldn't be able to enter in these same setting to GMail, as GMail can use POP3 just the same as Outlook or Windows Mail. Just go to Gmail > Settings > Accounts and Imports > Add POP3 Email Account You should be able to put the same values in as the link above tells you to and retrieve email from your AIM account nearly instantly. |
