Default question about cpu intel i5 750 2.66mhz drivers

I just completed this build runs great but, in device manager when I check the driver dates for the cpu they are listed as April of 2004. I updated the GIGABYTE P55M-UD2 motherboard bios and drivers. does this seem right or should there be some more up to date drivers for the cpu? Thanks for all replies!

First off, it's GHz, not MHz

Second, the CPU drivers are just basic ones from microsoft. There's really nothing else to add to help performance. I assume you're running XP? In Vista SP2, I see 6/21/2006 for my CPU drivers.

Try the motherboard website for some, but I do not think there will be a lot of new driver releases for XP anymore, its ancient, and since had 2 new operating systems released after it. In my opinion, its going to die as fast as Windows 98.

CPU's just use a generic driver...no updates to them or anything.

Dont skimp on a power supply,if it fails, it usually takes out other components alongside it.
