WMP.exe 33% CPU....

how is it possible that windows media player uses up 33% of my CPU when i checked task manager. All im doing is playing a song with it minimized. if i remember correctly winamp uses up like 2%. is this normal? if so thats a joke. i use tons of software and nothing else uses that much CPU at a constant rate.

Have you tried another media player?

I just tried opening a video file with three different media players, and they all use about the same resources.

ya i remembered the only reason i went back to wmp from winamp was because winamp didnt support my 5.1 speakers in x64 windows 7 but just yesterday i got new 2.1 speakers so i just went back to winamp...such a relief. man i hate wmp. oh ya and winamp uses 0%-1% ... lol
