Cell Phone programming

I've got a really general question: does anyone know of any ways I can customize my cell phone using J2EE -- nothing too advanced (it's all relative I guess; as an indicator, I've been programming with Java for about 6 months now). I'm not really looking to do anything practical; just for the experience/because I'm interested. Thanks

By the way: I have a Motorola.
