Default First PC Build

This is in Australian Dollars and it will cost around $2000 dollars. I am not sure if the 600mhz ram is compatible with the dfi mobo or not. Should i get a dvd writer as well as a cd writer? And the case already has a psu, but I was advised to get a stronger psu, is this ok?And is there anything I can improve on?

EDIT: The Ram may or may not acturally operate at PC4800 speeds. It is possiable that it would downclock it to pc3200 speeds. It also possiable it would keep it at pc4800 speeds. Either way the ram should work in the computer asuming it 184 pin DDR memory.

i think the 939 asus performs better than that dfi..

Which Asus board? From what I've heard, that DFI board is pretty solid.

The upgrade! My machine will soon be a 939 X2 4000+, 4x512 DDR400, and an 8600GTS.

Should i go for the 3200 then overclock?
I overclocked my pc a while ago, , which was my first time, but I was a bit conscious , after that cos, it would crash and it would be unstable, so i put it back to normal. And i'm not very experienced in it. So I don't know whether I want to oc this new pc

The DFI is a great board especially if you plan to do any overclocking.
