Default Problem with USB

Hi there,
I have a P4M266A motherboard with 6 USB ports on it and I cannot install the drivers for them. In the Device manager there is not a sign of those 6 USB ports.
Any suggestions pls???

The USB controllers should be listed at the bottom of Device Manager. If you don't see them, you probably didn't connect the ports correctly to your motherboard. And if you're using XP, you most likely won't have to worry about the drivers because XP will install generic ones for you.

Unfortunately I don't have the drivers cd came with the pc. I have downloaded many drivers and none of them worked.

I have Windows XP on the pc and the USBs are not listed anywhere in the Device Manager.
