I've got it on my desktop and not quite sure what it is?

Is it something I should be running - is it dangerous for my PC? I found online that it's not dangerous - but not at any sources I trust.

Any suggestions as to if it's safe to use or not?

From what i can find it's a safe program. However if you would like to be 100% sure then please go to http://www.virustotal.com/ upload the file and post back the results.
