I need help with selecting a new PSU, the one I had overheated. Ive been told that I need something with atleast 400-500W, duel +12V. My comp setup is made for gaming.
GA-K8N Ultra-SLI AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Geforce 6600GT 128MB PCI-Express Seagate 160GB SATA EXCELSTOR 40GB IDE 2GB Corsair Value Windows XP Pro With addition to this I need a PSU that can support an addition 4 case fans. I have the MASSCOOL FD08025S1M4 80mm Sleeve Cooling Fan - Retail also I will need to be able to handle the 2nd XFX GeForce 6600GT 128M PCI-Express when I decide to purchase it. I would like to know more information about duel +12V. I know it comes with 2x ATX12 adpators, what I want to know is does it require that both are enabled for the duel +12V to operation? or would I just be getting half of the total? I was told to look into duel +12V because of my SLI mobo. I looked at the PSU sticky and it didnt provide an answer for that. |

I'm quite pleased with my coolermaster Purpower 450. They are a bit expensive, but they are very good supplies with very steady voltages. They also have that neat little wattage meeter
