If your not using firefox, and your using ie, get the google toolbar, that worked fine for me whe i used to use ie.

You can just search on download.com on the pop up section
They have pretty good ones
Or alternatively you can get SP2 which has a pop up blocker or Mozilla Firefox

i have the latest mozilla firefox, but on some pages pop ups still pop up and ad's as well.
