WinXp restarting problem.

I have two operating systems one is win98 and winxp .When I choose winXP on the starting of the computer it shows winXp welcome screen but after few second the computer get restart automatically.
please help me and tell me any reasonable solution.

When is the last time you booted into xp? Maybe your xp os is corrupt, or there is a missing file. You could try repairing the instalation.

Yeah, throw in the Windows XP installation CD, and follow the steps for repair. Is there a purpose for you having Windows 98?
