Default BT bad for your hard drive?

i often use BitTorrent to download something, but lately i have heard that BT is extremely bad for the hard drive. and also my laptop's hard drive has been worn off, though i am not sure it's because of BT,but it's after i used BT that my laptop's condition got worse...

meanwhile, compared with BT, is emule or edonkey bad for the hard drive too??

Well... They are illegal but I can't see them really being bad on a harddrive. I mean of course the more you use the drive the faster it'll wear out, but I don't think those such programs would cause any more wear than say normal use as you can't download things all that fast...

BT's carry on read and write to the hard drive the operation and will shorten the hard drive life span multifariously with long hours.Because the document capacity of the BT download all more and greatly, time that carry on continuously to read and write( spread and download up) random usually will attain several, this is affirmative to hard drive and will bring some bad influence.

Well... They are illegal
Filesharing programs arent illegal, its only if you download illegal stuff, i could put my own composed music up on there for people to download, thats not illegal, only when you download copyrighted stuff is it illegal. Same goes with unsigned bands, its not yet illegal to download there tracks.
