Default My bookmarks have disappeared in XP...

HELP ME!...Earlier today my PC crashed and when I rebooted after disk checking I discovered that all my bookmarks had disappeared. I use firefox and used to use IE. When I installed firefox I imported all my IE bookmarks into FF.

Does anyone know how to get them back again?

Thanks in advance!

Do a system restore from a day or two before it crashed. If that doesn't work, search your computer for 'bookmarks' (without the quotes) that's the name of the file that firefox uses when exporting bookmarks.

Can you do this if it happens to Firefox?

What I want to know is how can I import my favorites from IE to firefox? Is there an easy way of simply copy and pasting from one folder to another?

In Firefox, under Bookmarks, select "Manage Bookmarks", then "File" and "Import".

uninstall firefox, then re install it. it will give you the option of copying the bookmarks over again. next time, back it up

Tried that already but it only allows you to import one file at a time.

OK I'll reinstall FF.

OK, I just uninstalled and reinstalled again but this time it didn't offer me the option to import bookmarks from IE...GRRR.

There must be a simple way of copying and pasting from the IE favorites folder but to which destination folder?
