Default Need a suggestion

Hi,
I am currently in the market for a laptop that is below 900 dollars but yet very capable. It needs a good graphics card since im an avid gamer and graphic designer, it needs 512+ ram, and preferably a amd proccesor, however it is not neccesary. This is the best deal I have come across so far.http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...129&pfp=BROWSE
If you have a better idea, please dont hesitate to post.
Thanks alot

the video on that is shared, so you might want to add another 512MB ram

i dont think you will get a very good laptop for $900, at least not comparable to a desktop computer

I have an Averatec 3270 that I've been very pleased with. Specs are below if your intersted. Ah, and it cost me about $700. The only problem is the video card is crap, but it works fine for what I need it for.

dell inspiron 600m
Pentium M 1.6 ghz
radeon 9000 64 mb of ram
40 gb harddrive 5400 rpm
256 mb pc2700 ram. (you can order ram from somewhere else besides dell)

plays counter-strike with 200 fps and 100fps constant.

grand total out the door (actually mailed to me) = 824$

actually if you download steam from www.steampowered.com
counter-strike 1.6 can be loaded and ready to play in like 5 minutes. its not like cs 1.1 - 1.4 from back in the day.

well i dont think the dell would be quite how the video producer that i wanted, since well, playing cs is not really comparable to graphic design, and 3-modeling, not that i will do alot of that, but i might do some on occasion. I would also like to steer clear of dell, simply because, any customization on my part would be a pain in the ass, and well i dont like dell at all.. i may be able to bring it up to $1k but thats probably as high as I can go
