you may stuggle to get all the drivers you need in 64bit

thats is a good point. ill look into that. but if i cant get a XPhome CD from them i would rather a XP64 CD so that if anything happens at least ill have an OS maybe minus some drivers

Yeah, well I think the XP 64 bit edition is the same as regular XP. There was a thread about this earlier. You can check the Microsoft website for more info., but I do know, in order to trade in for XP 64 pro, you first have to have xp pro, and the offer expires on July 30th.

you can get a full (not upgrade) version of XP Pro on ebay for $70. Computer manufacturers usually include a restore cd instead of the windows cd because they install a bunch of crap like aol, hotmail, ect, which they pay the computer company to put on. I find it weird that you never got a restore cd though. where did you get your computer from?
