I use it for all my professional photography work and I can say that nothing comes close to it.
I went to art school, studied design and animation, and at one point in time I was quite familiar with all of Adobe stuff. It is a good app, but what I am talking about is, I want their to be competition, so they actually have to strive to make their product better.

Photoshop has come a long way in the past several years.

For anyone interested, here is one of the cool new features of CS5:

Ok so you say you hate Adobe and wishing the competitor would release a better product, by saying that you are saying adobe is best in the market....

This doesn't make sense to me/ LOL

No, I am saying Adobe does certain things their way because there is no competition to keep them in line, or make certain aspects of their product better.

CS 4, is what I have right now, and I do actually use minor photoshop and InDesign, and I taught myself how to use it. Professional? Well, that is debatable. I release technical documents in InDesign with pics, graphs, testimonials, written in chapter format. It looks very professional, but it only applies to system admins, no one else would ever want to read it.

CS is an awesome program, even better than PS imo. Some of the things you can do on that is out of the world. I did use it a bit a long time ago. Lots of potential not many people use it though.

CS is not an individual program, Photoshop is part of CS.
