I'm quite into playing online games that often involve audio communication with other players. Unfortunately, if I use a speakers/mic combination it often causes feedback from the speakers so I'm forced to use a headset/mic combination. The only problem with this is that my headset is much quiter that my speakers, so much so that it ruins the enjoyment of the game.
I'm wondering if there's a way that I can boost the audio output of my PC? Perhaps it's simply that the headset is naturally quiet or maybe it's an issue with the soundcard? I don't want to buy a new headset only to find that I get the same problem. Incedently, my sound card is an SIS 7012 wave v5.5. Thanks for any help!
