Default Help!

Hey

Since I reformatted my computer, my computer wont recognise my soundcard is there. I dont know what soundcard I have either. What should I do?

Is it actually a soundcard, fitted through the PCI slots or is it just a bunch of sound jacks on the back of the motherboard??

soundcard inside the pci slot, but i dunno how 2 open the back of my comp up, its all stuck down wierd :-S and i dotn even know what a soundcard looks like

do you have the cd drivers that came with the pc?

have you tried scanning for new hardware thourgh the control panel

have a look in device manger (Right-click My Computer, click Manage, and then click Device Manager.) Take a look to see if there are any devices wthout drivers installed (will show as yellow question marks)

hi it says theres a multimedia audio controller under a question mark....but how am i meant to download the drive if i dotn know what sound card i have? I dont have any of the disks for the computer
