Dear Sir,

I met a problems in printing.

Hardware and software: -

- Operating System: - Windows XP Professional.
- Printer: - Epson LQ-2170

Error:
- Error-Printing(Therefore, the printer could not print out the documents.)

The task that I have tried before: -
a) Connect the PC with other printer with the same model.
Result:- other printer with the same model could print through the LPT1 of
the PC.
Finding: - The LPT1 port and the printer cable is working properly.

b) Connect the printer LQ-2170 to other PC running under Windows 2000
Server and Windows 98SE.
Result: - the printer is working properly by printing out the documents.
Finding: - the printer LQ-2170 is working properly and the LPT1 port is OK.

c) Connect the printer LQ-2170 to a laptop(running under Windows XP
Professional) to do the printing.
Result: - same error occurs("Error-Printing")
Finding: - The printer may not working under Windows XP Professional. But
why another one of the printer which is the same model could
printer under the Windows XP Professional?
d) By doing the printing through Command prompt by typing the command "dir
>lpt1" and then press enter.
Result: - No printing out. Same problems occur.
