i believe he's asking if you get a new hard drive if you can use the restore cd with it.
Most Restore CD's use files that are stored on a seperate partition on your current hard drive, and these are the files that the restore CD uses. Although since you got your custom made, it might just be a windows XP OEM cd, what happens when you put it in your computer when your in windows? is there a blue screen that has the option to install windows?
