quicktime plugin not working

my quicktime plugin doesn't work on somethings in the firefox browser. for example, it shows the torn movie reel with the quicktime logo. it works for som apps. but not for others. any help?

On which particular video files are you talking about? It sounds like you don't have some codecs that are needed for particular videos to be played. Try using, I feel dirty by suggesting this, Windows Media Player for those files and see if that helps at all...

if you are trying to play avi files you are going to need divx
