Altec Lansing vs4142 vs. Altec Lansing GT5051

Can anyone else comment on the GT5051? I just ordered some although i only have a 2 channel soundcard. Either I will upgrade my sound card to 5.1 or just live with them. I will be living in a dorm soon and size-wise and even sound-wise I was highly considering the altec lansing 2.1 model vs4121. I have this 10 percent off thing in my email from buy.com and also a $25 dollar cash back coupon from "Great Fun!" So after everything they end up being the same price give or take a few dollars( the GT5051 actually ends up being cheaper). Did I make the right choice in getting the GT5051? I know there is a big "list price" difference, but sometimes more expensive doesn't necessarily mean better.

More expensive is definitley not always better. Those appear to be nice speakers for a computer setup. I ordered the lower end Altec Lansings myself.

i have the altec lansing mx 5021's and they are amazing, best speakers ive ever had!
