Default bios setting question

in the bios theres something that says [Limit CPUID Max. to 3] what does this mean. on the right it says. enable for nt or lower. disable for xp. so now that i saw it i disabled it. does it make the cpu work harder and better?

dont worry about it, older os such as nt could deal with more that 3 logical cpu's so this was there stop them tripping up. It should be disabled if you have xp (and probably wouldn't matter even if you had nt) and will have no effect on your cpu speed
